[As this Piscataway Parish in Colonial times included the District of Columbia, it volition be most interesting to Washington people, as covering our own homes in the long agone. - Ed.]
A true and exact journal and record of the proceedings of the vestry of Piscataway Parish is every bit follows, vizt.
"By a Sufficient Power and Lawful potency the Inhabitants of Piscataway Parish having matte att the House of John Addison, Esqr., in the said Parish and elected and chosen the said John Addison foreman, Mr. William Hatton, Mr. William Hutchison, Mr. William Tannehill, Mr. John Emmett and Mr. John Swallwell to exist Vestry men for the said Parrish. It was appointed that the said Vestry should run across the 30th day of January and accordingly the said Vestry Did meet the 30th of January 1693 and Proceeded to act and make the orders Following
"Order that the forty p. pole Be paid to John Addison Esqe and Mr. William Hutchison and they to supply Carpenters for Building of a Church building.
"And Further ordered that John Addison Esqe and Mr. William Hutchison Buy a Parcell of att Broad Creek for ye use of ye Church."

Piscataway Parish Records
"Thomas Addison aged about Twenty-two years son of Honle. Col. John Addison and Eliza. Tasker anile fifteen years daughter of Thos. Tasker Esqr was joined in Holy Matrimony upon Tuesday ye 21st of Apr Annoq 1701. Their Children follow:
Rebekah Addison Was Borne on Mon The 3d Day of June Annoq. 1703 virtually Eleven a Clock in ye Morn.
Elinor Addeson Was Born on Monday ye 20th of March Annoque 1705 about one-half an hour afterward ix a Clock in ye Morn.
Eliza, the Mother of these Children Departed this Life ye 10th 24-hour interval of February Annoq, 1706.
The Honble Coll. Thomas Addison and Elinor Smith Girl of Coll. Walter Smith of Patuxant River aged nearly nineteen years Was Joyned in Holy Matrymony the 17th 24-hour interval of June 1709.
Ann Daughter to the above Thomas and Elinor was Borne on Mon the 18th Day of February about ii a Clok in ye Morning 1711-12.
John Addison Son of the above Thomas and Elinor was born on Wednesday the 16th of September 1713 at Iii a Clok in the Forenoon.
Thomas Addison Son of the higher up Thomas and Elinor was Born Tuesday the 26th of May 1715 at 12 a Clock at Noon."

Anne, b. October. 13, 1712.

The above transcripts are furnished the Quarterly by Dr. Chiliad. M. Brumbaugh from a valuable manuscript record commencing in 1693 and covering several centuries of marriages, births, deaths, etc., affecting Eastern and Northern Md.


Willcoxon (Wilcoxen) Family unit Records

The following records were written on the back of a country grant of 1696, from Charles, 2d Lord Baltimore to Thomas Willcoxon, of Prince George�s County, Maryland:
July the 11th, 1723, Mary Wilcoxon was built-in, existence of a Thursday abt. 12 of the Clock in the day.
Thomas Wilcoxon was built-in April the 23, 1725, being Friday abt. 7 o�clock in the morning time.
Josias Wilcoxon was built-in in March the 26th, 1727, existence Dominicus near midnight.
Elener Wilcoxon was born May the 14th, 1729, existence Wednesday well-nigh 12 o�clock in the twenty-four hour period.
John Wilcoxon was built-in the 30th of August, 1732, being on Wednesday abt. 4 o�clock in the morn.
July the 14th, 1734, Volinder Wilcoxon was born, being on Sunday in the evening.
January the 10th, 1736, William Wilcoxon was born on Sat, January the 10th, 1735-6, at 10 o�clock of the forenoon.
January the 19, 1737, so Jesse Wilcoxon was born, being on Thursday.
July the 6, 1741, then Ann Wilcoxon was born, existence on Mon.
September the 3d, 1703, Ruth Wilcoxon was built-in.
March the 9th, 1695, Thomas Wilcoxon was built-in, the son of John and Magdaline.
Saturday, the 15 Mean solar day of December, 1739, then my son was born, called Benj�n Wilcoxon, about --- o�clock.
Ruth Wilcoxon was built-in March the 16, 1743, about Sun Ascension.
Levin Wilcoxon was born October ye 20th, 1749, beingness Friday at x o�clock in the morning.

The following records were written on the dorsum of a country grant (tract called �Batchellor�s Choice�) from Frederick, Lord Baltimore to Jesse Wilcoxon, 1764:
Thursday, November 30th, 1769, and then Jesse Wilcoxon and Elizabeth, his wife, was joined together in Holy Marriage.
Monday, January 21st, 1771, and so my wife was delivered of a Daughter, called Ruth, at iv o�clock in the afternoon.
Sun, March 28th, 1773, then my married woman was delivered of a human being Kid, chosen Thomas Clagett, at ix o�clock in the morn.
Sat, May 27th, 1775, and then my wife was delivered of son, called Jesse, at one o�clock in the morning.
Sunday, August 24th, 1777, then my married woman was delivered of a daughter, called Ann Magruder, at 5 o�clock in the morning.
Sunday, May 10th, 1780, then my married woman was delivered of a daughter, called Elizabeth, at ane o�clock in the morning.
Palm Sunday, March 24th, 1782, about eight o�clock in the morning my wife was delivered of a son, chosen William.
Mon, March 22, 1784, at Ten o�clock at night wife was delivered of a daughter, called Mary Elanor.
Dominicus, January 15th, 1786, at nine o�clock in the afternoon my wife was delivered of a human being child, called Lewis.
Th, September 20th, 1787; and then my wife was delivered of a man kid, called James Edmonstone, at 12 o�clock in the afternoon.
Th, Feb 19th, 1789, then my wife was delivered of a man kid, called John Townshend, at 8 o�clock in the Evening.
October 15th, 1752, and so my wife was born Elizabeth Wilcoxon.
